That is exactly what José de Sousa managed to pull off this time. At first glance, many fans may wonder how it is even possible to score a 9-darter with ten darts. However, the footage proves that it can be done — and shows exactly how De Sousa achieved it.

José de Sousa is currently competing in the MODUS Super Series and immediately reminded everyone during his debut week why he was regarded as one of the leading players on the international circuit for many years.
The Portuguese former Grand Slam champion began his campaign in Group A of Series 15, where he faced the likes of Andy Baetens, Paul Krohne, Dylan Slevin, Killian Heffernan and Arne Spee.
Strong Start for De Sousa
De Sousa made an impressive start to his campaign. On the opening day, he recorded convincing 4-0 victories over both Dylan Slevin and Arne Spee. He also edged past Killian Heffernan in a 4-3 thriller.
However, those victories were accompanied by defeats against Andy Baetens, who beat him 4-0, and Paul Krohne, who won 4-3.
As a result, De Sousa finished the opening day in third place with six points.
De Sousa Raises His Level
On the second day, De Sousa took his game to another level. He won his first four matches, including an impressive 4-1 victory over Baetens.
His only setback came against Dylan Slevin, with De Sousa suffering a 4-1 defeat. Despite that loss, he remained firmly in contention for a place among the leading players in the group.
After three days of action, De Sousa eventually finished second in Group A. He won 10 of his 15 matches, collected 20 points and recorded an impressive tournament average of 91.97.
Only Andy Baetens finished ahead of him.
De Sousa therefore progressed to Group B, where he will continue his bid to reach Saturday’s finals.
A Timely Reminder of His Quality
De Sousa’s performances are a clear indication that, despite a difficult period in recent years, the Portuguese star still possesses plenty of quality.
His scoring power, experience and ability to produce spectacular moments make him a dangerous opponent for anyone in the field.
