During the second round of the Swiss Darts Trophy there was this game between Ricardo Pietreczko and Raymond van Barneveld. There was this awkward moment in the first leg which didn’t go as planned for the German player.

It ultimately became a thrilling contest between the two, with the match coming down to a deciding final leg. In this leg, it was the Dutchman who came out on top, winning 6-5 and advancing to the next round. In the previous round, he had already won 6-2 against Joe Cullen, and Barney’s run didn’t stop there.
In the last 16, his opponent was Ross Smith, and he also fell to the Dutchman, losing 6-4, which secured Barney a place in the quarter-finals. In the last 8, he faced Martin Schindler, but in the end, The Wall proved to be too strong, winning 6-4.

It turned out that Schindler was the eventual winner, as he continued on to win the final 8-7 against Ryan Searle. However, it wasn’t without drama, as Searle had taken a 7-4 lead and had no less than seven match darts but failed to convert any of them. The German took advantage of this and ultimately secured the win in Basel.
