The world of darts has witnessed its fair share of memorable moments, but this week delivered another truly unique highlight.

During the MODUS Super Series, Graham Jenkins produced an unusual—and somewhat baffling—finish when he was left with 40 points remaining. The footage of the moment quickly drew attention from fans and commentators alike.

Over the years, there have been several unconventional approaches to checkouts that, while surprising at first glance, were underpinned by sound strategic thinking. For example, Luke Littler recently opted for triple 7 when facing a 53 finish, and Belgian player Erik Clarys once began a 100 finish on triple 17 to leave double 16 via four 17s.

However, Jenkins’ choice in this instance did not appear to follow any such calculated logic—making it stand out as a purely extraordinary moment in the series.

Elsewhere in the competition, Dutch star Vincent van der Voort was also scheduled to compete but was forced to withdraw due to ongoing physical issues. His planned debut in the MODUS Series was put on hold, and his participation in both the Open Antwerp and Open Belgium last weekend was also cancelled at the last minute, despite his presence at the events.

Despite these setbacks, Van der Voort remains determined to qualify for the PDC World Championship. He is even considering another run at Q-School in a bid to reclaim his Tour Card.

Another notable name expected to feature in the near future is Adrian Lewis. “The Jackpot” shares Van der Voort’s ambition to return to the sport’s elite and has mapped out a route back to the top, with the MODUS Super Series forming an important part of his comeback plans.
