Belgium has produced many top players in recent years at the highest level of the PDC, with Kim Huybrechts proudly representing his country for many years. Names like Dimitri Van den Bergh and Mike De Decker followed, but one name that should certainly not be overlooked is Brian Raman.
The 28-year-old has quickly established himself as a respected player in the international darts scene. Raman began his professional career with the BDO, where he made a name for himself through strong performances and a consistent playing style.
In 2022, he made the switch to the PDC, a major step forward in his career. During Q-School in January 2022, he earned the highly coveted Tour Card, granting him access to the full PDC circuit. One of his career highlights so far was reaching the final of the BDO World Championship in 2022, just before his transition to the PDC.
This time, he appeared in the Modus Super Series, where he competed against the likes of Mark Dudbridge. The Englishman and former PDC World Championship finalist was left stunned while waiting on double 18.
Nowadays, “The Riddler,” as Brian Raman is nicknamed, is once again active on the BDO circuit, where he is performing quite well. At the time of writing, he holds 14th place. Jimmy van Schie occupies second place with 628 points, just behind American Leonard Gates, who leads with 630 points. In third place is another Dutchman, Corné Groeneveld, with 574 points.
