A perfect leg in itself is, of course, already remarkable, but the way Darren Brown envisions the 9-darter takes it several steps further. With that, he could secure a place in the history books as the player with the most beautiful 9-darter ever captured on camera.
It sounds like a surprise, yet we shouldn’t be too astonished because he has been working on this for months and is determined to be the first person to succeed. His inspiration may come from the comedic footage of Michael van Gerwen supposedly hitting a 9-darter in the MODUS Super Series, finishing with three bullseyes.
The Dutchman never actually threw it that way, as the footage was based on a humorously edited video. He could laugh about it himself and decided to share it on social media.
However, Darren Brown doesn’t want to achieve this in a fabricated manner. He genuinely wants to be the first player ever to accomplish this feat and seems to be making it his life’s work.
We can certainly expect a lot more from this 42-year-old Englishman, who, like many players today, is open to unconventional and unexpected routes.
