During the Players Championship 7 there was this unusual 9-darter by Dirk van Duijvenbode. The Dutchman had the perfect leg without going for one of the most common ways from 141.

He was, by the way, not the only player who managed to hit a nine-darter, as Ryan Searle had already achieved this earlier in the day. The 37-year-old Englishman did so via a different route, finishing 144 after hitting 180 and 177.
This time, a Players Championship event is taking place in Hildesheim. Following the seventh edition on Monday, the eighth edition will be held on Tuesday at the same venue in Germany. Wednesday is a free day on the PDC calendar, before the Premier League resumes on Thursday.
The seventh match week is scheduled, and ahead of those matches, Luke Littler leads the standings with 16 points. However, he is closely followed by Luke Humphries with 15 points, while Gerwyn Price is in third place with 12 points.

Whereas Michael van Gerwen traditionally topped these rankings, he is now in fourth place with 10 points. This means he is just barely within the safe zone for playoff qualification. Rob Cross and Nathan Aspinall, both on 8 points, are right behind him and will do everything they can to overtake the Dutchman.
Chris Dobey and Stephen Bunting are in second-to-last and last place, with 3 and 0 points, respectively. For “The Bullet,” the Premier League has not gone as he had hoped, as he is still waiting for his first win after six match nights.
The opportunities are still there, but he will need to start performing soon to prevent this competition from seriously damaging him, as we saw last year with Peter Wright. As is well known, the Premier League of Darts can make or break you, and getting beaten night after night does nothing good for your confidence.
