The audience in Prague was quickly treated to fireworks, and they can expect even more. Later today, a match between Raymond van Barneveld and Daryl Gurney is on the schedule, and the game between Cameron Menzies and Peter Wright also promises to be something special.
Kevin Doets could cause an upset when he faces Michael Smith in the final match of the evening. Mike de Decker, fresh off his World Grand Prix title last weekend, is in top form and will play with a bag full of confidence against Brett Claydon, while his compatriot Dimitri van den Bergh will face Jonny Clayton two matches later.
On Friday afternoon, before Wattimena’s match, Niels Zonneveld already took action. He was too strong for Robert Owen with a 6-2 win, making it two victories for the Dutch on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday afternoon, Danny Noppert will make his appearance, while Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen will play on Saturday evening. We are already guaranteed five Dutch contenders on Saturday, but two more could join on Friday evening in the form of Raymond van Barneveld and Kevin Doets.
The winner of this weekend will take home £30,000, and last year’s tournament was won by Peter Wright, who defeated Dave Chisnall 8-6 in the final.
Michael van Gerwen played an outstanding match against Josh Rock, which he won 6-5, with both players averaging well above 100.00. However, in the following match, the player from Noord Brabant was knocked out by Rob Cross, who defeated him 6-4.
