That Michael van Gerwen can throw a decent dart is something no one will dispute. Still, it’s a good thing there wasn’t a writer present at the moment shown in the footage below.

In recent months, Michael van Gerwen has delivered a series of strong performances after a period of weaker form. Earlier this year, he reached the final of the PDC World Darts Championship, where he faced 17-year-old sensation Luke Littler.
Two Funny Moments Backstage By Michael van Gerwen
Michael van Gerwen loves to challenge and tease people behind the scenes. That he is actually funny is proven by this new funny footage.
Although the Dutchman lost 7-3, making Littler the youngest world darts champion ever, Van Gerwen soon had the chance for revenge during the opening night of the 2025 Premier League Darts on February 6 in Belfast. In a thrilling match, he defeated Littler 6-5, showcasing his resilience and determination.
Nevertheless, Littler remained a tough opponent for Van Gerwen. During the Dutch Darts Masters in Den Bosch at the end of January, Van Gerwen suffered a 6-3 defeat against Littler in the quarterfinals. After the match, Van Gerwen expressed his frustration with his performance, calling it “unacceptable.”
In the 2025 Premier League Darts, Van Gerwen continues to compete for the top positions. After the first two nights of play, he stood in third place in the rankings, with two match wins and four points.
His next challenge is scheduled for this Thursday, February 20, in Dublin, where he will face Chris Dobey in the quarterfinals.
This past weekend, Michael van Gerwen competed against Luke Humphries in the final of an exhibition tournament—and once again, the man in green emerged victorious.
