Just like Ted Kravitz also Sam Collins isn’t a fan of Max Verstappen and he thinks the Red Bull driver is highly overrated. He makes his statement clear in the video below but things might have changed last weekend.
During lap 44 of the Mexican Grand Prix 2022 Sam Collins said: “It’s a 71 lap GP; if Max Verstappen keeps these (medium) tyres alive until the end of the GP, that’d be the finest piece of racecraft you will ever see in your life.”

Max Verstappen did exactly that and made it even more impressive by driving all laps (except the two under virtual safety car) in 1:22. Guess Sam Collins is a Max Verstappen fan from now on 😉
Apart from the two laps under VSC conditions, Verstappen lapped in the 1:22s on every single lap during his stint on the mediums.
