This weekend, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) travelled to Kraków for the Poland Darts Open, one of the key events on the European Tour calendar.

After each session, the PDC publishes a compilation video online highlighting the best moments of play. However, one particular moment from the latest compilation has left viewers puzzled. Fans have expressed surprise and skepticism about what they saw, with some questioning the authenticity of the footage.

The clip has led to speculation that the images may have been manipulated during the live production process. Observers noted that the footage appeared unusual enough to suggest that someone in the broadcast control room may have altered the visuals, raising doubts about whether the scenes accurately reflected what happened on stage.

On the sporting side, Luke Littler was unaffected by the controversy and successfully secured his place in Sunday’s final day, where he is scheduled to face Ross Smith. Their match will open the afternoon session.

From a Dutch perspective, particular attention will be focused on the final three matches of the afternoon session. Jermaine Wattimena, Gian van Veen, and Wessel Nijman are set to face Stephen Bunting, Nathan Aspinall, and Cameron Menzies respectively.

Menzies recently spoke about the incident at the 2026 PDC World Championship in which he lost control and repeatedly struck the table on stage with his hand. He left the stage with a bloodied hand, and it has since emerged that the injury caused lasting damage.

The Scotsman has been left not only with a significant scar but also with partial loss of sensation in several fingers. He is still undergoing recovery, although there is hope that the feeling may gradually return. His nerves were severely damaged but not permanently destroyed — a piece of good fortune in otherwise difficult circumstances.

Menzies is now able to compete again and will face Nijman on the tournament’s final day. Despite the incident — and the shadow it may continue to cast over his career — the former partner of Fallon Sherrock will be determined to show his best form and achieve success at the dartboard.
