The WDF Europe Cup Youth, the European Championship for young darts players, is currently taking place at De Bonte Wever in Assen.

One Turkish player drew attention with an unconventional way of finishing 70, as seen in the footage.

At first glance, her approach seemed odd, but upon closer thought, it actually makes sense. Darts is a game where strategies and calculations constantly evolve.

Just look at Luke Littler, who often opts for double 10 or even double 15—a choice once considered unorthodox, yet it clearly works for the reigning world champion.

Could this be another example of the sport evolving, or is it just an unusual route that most players will avoid? Either way, it worked for the Turkish player.

Ultimately, the Turkish pair was defeated by the Hungarian duo Krisztina Turai and Hanna Rabakozi, who went on to reach the final. There, they’ll face Yazmine S Ruck-Havard and Abbie L Brewster of Wales.

That Welsh team narrowly beat the Dutch duo Fardau de Jong and Kimberly Kersbergen in the semifinals, edging them out 3-2 in a tight match.

The Dutch boys also put in a strong performance, but missed out on the final. Kendji Steinbach and Ruben Baalmans were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Wales’ Joseph Flenley and Jenson T Ellaway in a close 4-3 match.

The remaining floor matches will be played on Thursday and Friday, with all finals taking place on stage during the final day.
