Aspinall, ranked 6th in the world, was the last player to exit early for the Christmas break at the PDC World Championship on Saturday night.
He was knocked out by Ricky Evans, currently ranked 53rd on the PDC Order of Merit. Aspinall was so upset by this that he stormed off the stage after the match, handing his darts to a security guard with the words “I don’t need these anymore!” before leaving the venue, kicking the door on his way out.
NOS journalist Thierry Boon witnessed this and shared the incident via the tweet below.

There is no footage of this incident but we have seen Nathan Aspinall throwing darts out of anger before back in 2020 when Joe Cullen did beat him in the semi final of the Players Championship.
