During today’s race in Formula E there was this bizarre move by Lucas Di Grassi who overtook 7 cars by going through the pitlane. Everybody was driving behind the safety car but he was driving so slow it was faster to go through the pitlane with a max speed of 50 km/h.
However this looks like a brilliant move Lucas Di Grassi got penalized for this in the end. Although he is allowed to enter the pitlane during a safety car he didn’t get to a complete stop.
