After the game between Michael van Gerwen and Rob Cross some words were exchanged between the two. It was the Dutchman he managed to win the game in the end but the only thing people were talking about was this moment they had right after the match.

Initially, it was unclear what sparked the disagreement, even involving the referee for a brief moment.
However, the Dutchman’s interview with Arjan van der Giessen for Viaplay’s camera has taken place since then, where the three-time world champion revealed what was discussed with Rob Cross immediately after the game:
“He gave a very firm handshake, so I asked about the reason behind it. It was clear he was irritated, but it was with himself, which is understandable. He could have won this match, and then it would have looked different for him.”
Also, at the European Championship recently, there was a moment involving Van Gerwen, although it wasn’t an issue with his opponent. It was the tournament’s organization that drew criticism from the Dutchman. It affected him to the extent that he couldn’t shake it off during his match with Gian van Veen and eventually suffered defeat.
Gian van Veen, the newcomer among the top players, mentioned in a podcast last week that Michael van Gerwen’s comments were not directed at him, thus closing the matter from his perspective.
After this game Michael van Gerwen explained in his interview what happened between the two of them.
