Tentions were running high between Ron Meulenkamp and Darren Webster during their game at the Modus Super Series with the farting incident. Darren Webster insulted the Dutchman, calling him a “stinker” who farts on the stage.
Ron Meulenkamp heard about this and stated that he finds Darren Webster unprofessional for accusing him of something he didn’t do. He also expressed that he can no longer have respect for The Demolition Man, as he mentioned before their second encounter.
The tension between the two was palpable, evident from the beginning of the match when Darren Webster extended a fist, which was skillfully rejected by the Dutchman.
As you can see he didn’t give a fistbump when Webster offered this before the game.
Normally, at a score of 3-3, players shake hands to wish each other a good final leg, but Webster, gauging the Dutchman’s expression, decided not to extend his hand this time. This ultimately led to a tense moment, as seen in the video below, with the referee attentively watching to ensure that things wouldn’t escalate.
