During the first day of the PDC World Darts Championship there was this crazy moment in the game between Rusty-Jake Rodriguez and Cameron Menzies. The player from Austria threw his darts off stage out of anger and Cameron Menzies showed a bit too much of himself.
Rusty-Jake couldn’t contain his frustration when trailing 0-2 in sets. He threw his darts so forcefully on the table that they flew off the stage. A cameraman noticed a dart land just behind him, and in the footage above, it can be seen that he returned it to the Austrian.
His opponent from Scotland is known for being chaotic with eccentric antics, confirming this once again immediately after the incident. He was engaging with the audience, quickly lifting his shirt to show his belly.
Fallon Sherrock is his girlfriend, who was in the crowd cheering him on. During the entrance, she received an unusually aggressive kiss, and the contrast between the two could hardly be greater. As exuberant as Menzies is, Sherrock is calm and composed when she stands on the stage.
Sunday evening, she will take the stage at Ally Pally, with her boyfriend in the audience. Sherrock will face Jermaine Wattimena in the third match of the evening session.
Yet, a day earlier, it’s Cameron Menzies again who gets to play his second match against Dave Chisnall. He will be on the stage Saturday afternoon, closing the session for the second consecutive day. While many players have to wait several days before stepping onto the stage for the first time, he gets the chance to perform on both day 1 and day 2 on the green-colored stage.
